I've worn many hats over the years, from test automation to being the technical lead, or "just" being a simple engineer.

I strongly prefer full-time, long engagements - "permanent" is not a word I'd use for any job in the remote work world of 2026 - but I've also taken some contracting tasks in the past, if I found the assignment particularly interesting.

The reason I like full-time roles is that they allow me to get deep knowledge of the system and the people, which naturally makes it easier to think in solutions, not just "task items".
